I’m Pinning Around Pinterest Link Party

What a difference a week makes!  This time last week, I was bunkering down for a week of house arrest, while the Little Sister was treated for whooping cough.  The treatment is finished and she's no longer infectious, so I'm hopeful we may rejoin the real world today.  Both girls still have terrible coughing bouts, so we'll be taking baby steps.

Wednesday is fast becoming a day to look forward to for me.  I can't wait to see what fabulous posts get linked up to I'm Pinning Around.  Here are my picks from last week:

The Dove Nest linked a crochet tutorial for how to add a wave texture to a ripple stitch.  My favourite part about it was the simple video tutorial that was so clear I think even I could follow it!wave stitch

Kids Activites Blog linked a recipe for edible play dough.  I'll pause for applause.  Yes folks, edible play dough.  Game changer!  It doesn't matter how awful you make play dough taste, there's always one little rotter who can't help but get stuck in.  Now, everyone can eat it to their hearts content.  I bet you wind up cleaning less of it out of the carpet when it's tasty too!   peppermint-patty-play-dough

Dancing through Sunday had me picturing the kind of slow Sunday breakfast that was standard operating procedure for Bearhands and I pre-kids.  Her Baked Eggs with Sourdough Soldiers looked just the ticket for a late brunch.  Plus she called them soldiers which I love!

Cindy from Your Kids OT shared a great alternative to food rewards for kids - make your own scratch and win tickets. Genius!

If you’re new to the link up, here’s the lowdown on the I’m Pinning Around Pinterest Link Party:

    • The party will start every Wednesday morning and close at midnight on Friday.  All welcome.
    • Bloggers: if you’d like to join in: share one post that you think is perfect for Pinterest, then browse the other posts, find at least two that interest you, visit the site and pin directly from the original post.  I’d love it if you’d help spread the word about the link too – use the sharing buttons after you add your link.  Let’s go crazy this week and add a hashtag into the equation – how about #pinningaround?
    • Readers: I hope that this will be a fun way to find some new blogs to enjoy.
    • Each week I’ll choose a few of my favourites to showcase the following week.

    An InLinkz Link-up

The Edible Playdough has changed my life… seriously! I'm really enjoying this link up, thank you so much for hosting it.
I'm glad to hear the girls are no longer infectious and you can start to venture out into the outside world. Having two little ones myself, you have all been in my thoughts x

So great to hear the girls are getting better. What a shocker of an illness, poor wee things. Back to the pins - THAT BREAKFAST! I'm so trying that (and so not trying the edible playdough, lol) xx
