I’m off to the Chenrezig Institute tomorrow for a Meditation for Beginners course.  I’m hoping meditation will help me introduce a little more calm in our lives and a little more sotto voce from Mummy!

Here’s a thought for the day from Lama Thubten Yeshe

Have a great weekend!

Oh half your luck Amanda. That’s on my to do list for next year. I went to a meditation retreat on the Gold Coast hinterland a few weeks back now and it really worked. I just need to keep it up. Have fun and tell us all about it.

I think that is what I need to – some meditation time off the merry-go-round that happens during the silly season.
Have the best time tomorrow – I am sure that you will really enjoy it and find it hugely beneficial !

That’s a thought provoking quote, Amanda. I’ve never mediated but reflecting on how I am sometimes, I probably should. I guess it couldn’t hurt. Visiting belatedly from FYBF.

The fellow who ran the course was talking about our minds being easily distracted. He said they can sometimes act like an agitated monkey – jumping from tree to tree. If I wasn’t sitting on the floor, I would have fallen over. It was like he could see inside my crazy monkey brain! 🙂
