The year is rapidly drawing to a close and I’ve run out of time to post the vacherin recipe – sorry – in the new year I promise!
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have read my blog this year. I’ve been having such a beaut time writing it and I’m thrilled with how many of you take a few minutes each week to read whatever I’ve concocted!
Here are some highlights from my year.
I molested a fish on stage at the Good Food and Wine Festival
We stayed at Bethany and tasted Lady Flo’s famed pumpkin scones
This bloke was hunting in the bathroom window.
I went to a meditation workshop at a Buddhist retreat
We taught some of David’s mates how bones is played
Soni and I “gave five for kids” at the Orro Diamonds by the Sea lunch
I lost an icecream war to a redhead
The Little Sister did some pantry arranging for me.
I wondered if this grasshopper knew how ‘on trend’ he was.
The Little Sister had her first trip to Fraser
I rubbed shoulders/wings with some special guests at the Steve Irwin Day Gala Dinner
I took the Big Sister to the Ekka to check out Mummy’s prize winning pickles
This bloke hitched a ride into the kitchen on some veggies
I was momentarily transported to Asia by this piece of driving in Buderim.
We caught up with family to mark Nanny’s birthday
I discovered thermochef and a whole new level of margarita!
I won first prize for my pickled onions at the Maleny Show.
I went to the coldplay concert and instantly understood why Gwynnie let Chris name their kid Apple. After that concert I’d have let him name my kids after fruit too!
I realised that Bearhands and I will probably never manage to celebrate our anniversary!
I kissed Darren Percival!
I loved this firey redhead and her industrious Big Sister
I fed the kids nuggets and alphabet pasta for dinner, cause I’m a bad arse!
I watched the Roulettes in awe from the roof at Uncle Craig’s.
I made my first “blog recommended’ purchase – thanks Nikki from Styling You.
This guy helped the Big Sister and I do some colouring in
I fried zucchini flowers just six hours after they were picked!
The girls played happily together for five minutes at one point. Totally worth capturing for prosperity!
I wrote my first guest post about organic pest control for Veggie Mama after the birth of Pepper.
The Big Sister and I kissed goodbye to MS.
The girl’s insect birthday party was buzzin’
Lucille, Ruby and Elvira hit the Gympie Muster as Kenny’s Angels
I told the Big Sister to take a good look at herself
I curried my first mud crab.
We hit the Gympie Muster!
Manuel made me a few (too many) cocktails
I attempted to make zucchini’s sexy
This butterfly popped in to supervise the construction of the veggie patch.
The Big Sister lost her first tooth
We farewelled this beautiful lady to a faraway land and a fancy new job.
We watched the moon eclipse the sun and got Jack back.
The Little Sister helped me set up the blog.
We had our annual holiday to Fraser Island.
We played too many games of Mouse Trap
