rage and my three point two-seven minutes of fame

I’ve always been an early riser. Long before I had two little reasons to rise and shine I was doing it all of my own accord. As a kid, waking early on the weekend meant sneaking out to the tv, turning the sound down low (with a knob children!) and watching rage. At the time the people in the clips seemed to have perfect coordination and great hair. I know better now….

this is not the actual tv

In order to tell the rest of this story I must make a confession.

You see I haven’t been forthcoming with you, my readers.

It’s time to come clean and own up.

My name is Amanda and I’m a country music fan.

hear that? That’s the sound of my hundreds dozens of readers clicking that little x in the top right hand of the page and vowing never to return.

There. I said it. It’s liberating really. Last year Bearhands and I joined a few mates at out first ever country music festival. An Aussie band called O’Shea put a call out for people to be part of their new film clip. That’s all the encouragement I needed to start ironing prints onto t-shirts.

And so, I bring you my music video debut – watch for us from about 1.54 – recognise my jugs? me?

We had a beaut time but I think the highlight was getting a call six months later from my Brother-in-law who’d just spotted us on rage. Every dog has its day, and that my friends is my 3.27 minutes of fame. No great coordination and a dose of giant hat hair. Music videos have changed my friends!

We’re at the same Country Music festival this weekend so the blog will be a bit quiet this week. I don’t foresee any starring roles this year, but one band has offered to put “a little bang in my ying yang” so really anything could happen!

Did you watch rage?
What’s your claim to fame?
How’s your ying yang for bangs?

I can’t holiday without taking a hundred photos – you can see all the shenanigans on Instagram.

Oh dear. I just may not be able to be your friend now. (Just jokes. We all have our hidden music obsessions.) I have quite a few rage stories and most are R-rated. Have a lovely boot scootin hootin time! xx

I used to watch rage when I was in high school… so 25 years ago. Am I showing my age?? Good on you for coming out of the closet though on this one. And I don’t have a claim to fame hehe ๐Ÿ˜‰ Cheers Monique viz Blogs & PR #TUST

I know exactly what you mean by sneaking out & watching rage with the sound down low as a child.

She used to be a writer for some recognizable names. Think they were even in Ron Moss’ band for a while!

Oh my. What can I say. We can no longer be friends. Kidding! I’m partial to the occasional foray into Country Music. Whatever floats your boat I say ๐Ÿ™‚
