There's nothing more inviting that the smell of vanilla wafting from the kitchen....a warm bowl of this vanilla porridge helps our girls get going on cool mornings. 

 

Ingredients

3/4 cup rolled oats

3/4 cup milk

1/4 tsp vanilla bean powder

Instructions

In a bowl with high sides, combine the rolled oats and vanilla bean powder. Give a quick stir.

Add the milk and microwave for 3 minutes (stopping to give it a quick stir after two).

Sweeten to taste (maple syrup or honey is nice).
