If there's a packet of marshmallows burning a hole in your pantry, melt them and thrill the kids with homemade LCM bars (rice krispie treats).
285g marshmallows
45g butter
6 cups rice bubbles
Add the butter and marshmallows to a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for three minutes. Stir.
If any of the marshmallows aren't yet melted, return to the microwave for another thirty seconds.
When the mixture is smooth, add the rice bubbles and stir until evenly coated.
Press into a lined baking tray and allow to cool.
Cut into bars.
Let's face it. This is not a health food.
I suggest making these the same day that you're entertaining - and share the calorific love.
They don't keep well, so they're best consumed within a couple days of making.
