Family trip to Morayfield to do some Mother’s Day shopping. Baulked at the number of cars in the carpark at BCF, so the girls and I sat in the car while Bearhands went inside.
Bearhands headed off to golf at lunchtime and the girls and I had a slow afternoon. Tried to have a sleep, was thwarted by Max who barked like he was the first canine to ever discover birds.
In the early evening we headed out to the paddock and cracked tiny tins of JD and coke to toast a mate who passed away on this day last year.
We kicked the footy, then the soccer ball. Time after time the girls egged Bearhands to kick the ball high, then chickened out from catching it at the last minute.
Bearhands cooked fish and chips for dinner and outlined our plans for tomorrow. Apparently there is forklifting in my future. Headed to bed wondering if Elon Musk’s partner is getting a self driving forklift for her first Mother’s Day.
