Ever noticed that the people who speak the loudest have the least to say?
I’m often reminded of this quote from Leah Wilson when I see the keyboard warriors roll their sleeves up and get stuck into someone on the internet.
Last year I had an idea of putting together a video of Australian Bloggers reading mean comments written about them. You can catch the first video here.
Last month I put the call out again and bloggers from all over the country joined in. These are their responses.

This would be funny if it wasn’t so real. Why are people so full of nasty? If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. And how ridiculous are some of these messages anyway?!?

Most of them you can just laugh off but that last one is seriously nasty. I find it hard to picture anyone sitting there typing these comments and hitting enter. It must be a sad and stressful life to put so much effort into being mean. Thanks for putting this together Amanda!
Imagine if people started leaving abusive comments attacking the bloggers reading abusive comments. If you then made another video… no, that would be too meta, even for the internet!

I don’t know whether to say that’s awesome or hide in the corner rocking because of the state of humanity! That last one cracked me up, but it’s so sad! I can’t believe people think it’s ok to say these things.
