Dear Mum and Dad,

Thanks for the postcard you send the Big Sister from Marseille.

I’m relieved to learn that you have not fallen and hit your heads.  Thank you for going the extra mile to find an RSPCA approved card for the Big Sister to share with her Prep class.
I’m sure her French teacher will relish the opportunity to teach the children the phrase ‘grosses bises de Marseille’, derrière and fil dentaire.

postcards from the edgeI’m glad that the weather is good and you’ve managed to do some sun baking.

If you manage to squeeze in some shopping, I’ll take a pink one in size 14.

Écrire à nouveau bientôt, avoir du plaisir et ne pas oublier de mettre un écran solaire sur vos fesses!

Much love and grosses bises,
Flossie xx

OMG that is hilarious & gobsmacking all at the same time! I have no idea what is means in French apart from the derrière bit, but as they say a picture speaks a thousand words! I really want to hang out with your Mum & Dad – I think it would be brilliant!!! xx

The French is a google translate assist Jodie. I have no idea if it’s right, but I suspect it will make for an awkward exchange when Mum asks someone over there to translate for her! 🙂
